永康街でお茶体験！/A tea house in Yongkang street!

先日、日本から遊びに来てくれたお友達と永康街のとある素敵な茶藝館に行ってきました~！東門駅から徒歩4分、永康公園のすぐ隣にある、「回留茶館」。
I went to a nice tea house in Yongkang street with my Japanese friend! It takes about 4 minutes from 東門station. The name of the tea house is “回留茶館Huiliu Chadian”.
入り口から素敵な雰囲気が漂っていて期待大！
The atmosphere of outside is great,so we were excited!!
中は広々としていて、テーブル席と座敷席があります。置いてあるインテリアが個性的…🤔
The inside is quite wide,there are table seats and parlor seats. All interior there was unique...🤔
日本語メニューを渡してくれました。
サービス料は別途10%、茶葉代の他にお湯代がひとり180元です。
They have a menu written in Japanese.
It cost 10% for service,one person pay 180 NTD for hot water.
こちらはお友達が頼んだ 高山蜜香烏龍(230元)。
一杯目は店員さんが淹れてくれます。店員さんのひとつひとつの動きが丁寧で綺麗で、釘付けになってしまいました...!
This is 高山蜜香烏龍(230NTD)my friend ordered.
First,a clerk taught us how to make tea. The manner of the clerk was polite and beautiful...!
こちらはわたしが注文したプーアール茶シリーズの中の一種。(お茶の名前を忘れました…🥺)
This is a kind of Pu-eah tea series I ordered.
一杯目は店員さんがまた淹れてくれます。
The clerk taught us how to make again.
２種類のお茶、香りも味も全然違いました😳
The smell and taste of the tea was completely different from the tea my friend ordered😳
アーモンドのお菓子。３つで６５元くらいでした。
甘くてお茶によく合います～！
These are almond sweets(about 65NTD).
It's sweet, so it goes well with tea ~~!
お店の雰囲気も、店員さんの接客も、お茶の味も１００点満点！
永康街に来た際は、ぜひ立ち寄ってみてください~~
The atmosphere, the clerk's service and the taste of tea were perfect!!

台湾でエビ釣りしてみた!/Shrimp Fishing in Taiwan!

先日、台湾人のお友達2人とエビ釣りに行ってきました！エビ釣りは台湾の人気アクティビティのひとつ。なんと釣ったエビを釣った分だけそのまま焼いて食べられるのです🦐
I went to fish shrimp with my Taiwanese friends! Fishing shrimp is a famous activity in Taiwan. You can eat the shrimp you catch here!
台北にはたくさんエビ釣り場がありますが、今回行ったのは「板南釣蝦場」。プールのような釣り堀が2つあり、サイドに椅子が並べられています。
There are a lot of places to fish for shrimp, but we went to "板南釣蝦場(bannan diaoxiachang)". There are two fishing ponds, and some chairs arranged around them.
こちら料金表。今回は2時間で釣り竿を2本借り、3人で交代しながら利用することに。値段は人数によってではなく、釣り竿の数によって決まるんですね~🤔
This is a price list. We rented two fishing poles for 2 hours, and took turns with three people. The price is decided by the number of fishing poles.
さあ着席。
釣りのお供にタピオカ購入しました✌️
釣り場内でもビールやジュースを購入できます。
You can buy beer and juice here too!
エサは小エビとレバーを選べるみたいです。
レバーを選んだ場合、こんな風に小さく自分で刻んでから針に刺します。
苦手な方はごめんなさい🙇♀️
They have small shrimp and liver to use as bait.
If you choose liver, you have to cut it like this, and stick a needle in it.
さあ、ようやくエビ釣り開始です！
台湾人のお友達によると、エビを釣るコツは「エビがかかってから5秒以上待つこと」とのこと。エビは餌を捕まえてから口に持って行って食べるまでに時間がかかるからみたいです。
Then, we started to fish!!
According to my Taiwanese friends, a strategy to get shrimp is to wait more than 5 seconds after moving your fishing pole.
そして開始から約15分！
15 minutes had already passed since we started!
お友達が1匹目を釣りました〜！
One of my friends got a shrimp~~!
さあこの調子でどんどん釣るぞ！…と思ったのですが、そこからぱたんと釣れなくなってしまいました。
So, we thought that we would be able to get more and more!......but unfortunately, we aren't that professional.
気づくと席はほぼ満席状態。
この日は旧正月の最終日だったので、いつもより人多めだったのかな…？
We noticed that all the seats were almost completely full...maybe we couldn't get shrimp because of that...?
〜2時間後〜
さあ、あっという間に時間は過ぎ、釣ったエビを自分たちで調理していきます！
~2 hours later ~
Time went by so fast! Then we started to cook the shrimp we caught!
まずはしっかり水でエビを洗い、
First, wash the shrimps well with water.
こんな風に銀の棒に通します。
Then stick a silver stick in the shrimp.
焼く前に塩をつけるのを忘れずに、
Don't forget to put salt on before baking it.
このエビ焼き機?にいれるだけ！
And just put it in this machine!
時々裏返しながら様子を見ます。
Turn it over occasionally.
完成〜！いただきます！！🙏🏻
Finished ~~! So easy, right??
あ、皆さん既にお分りだと思いますが、3人で2時間コースで計3匹でした😌
いいのですよ、一人一匹平等で😌👌
As you know, we only caught 3 shrimp the entire 2 hours😌
It's okay, we were able to share them equally😌👌
みんなで1匹ずつありがたく頂きました🙏🏻✨
We ate each one feeling grateful🙏🏻✨

基隆から更に東！南雅へ！/We went to Nanya from Keelung!

前回から引き続き、日帰り基隆旅行について書きたいと思います😊
Today I'll continue to write about the day I went to Keelung following the previous blog😊
…と言いながら、食後に私たちが向かったのは基隆を出て南雅😉
基隆からバスに乗って、海沿いをずっと走ります。
途中、窓の外を覗くとこんな景色が！
We went to Nanya Rocks from Keelung on this day😉
We took a bus from Keelung, the route goes along the sea.
Tomによるとこの海の色は周りの山の鉱物によって引き起こされるだとか。初めて見ました～！
What's this ~!!!!! According to Tom, the coloration of the sea here is caused by minerals in the hills nearby.
さて、寝たり起きたりしながらバスに揺られること１時間。
やっと到着です！
バス停から少し歩いて、たどり着いたのはこちら。
Then, we finally arrived at the destination!
南雅奇石！！！
Nanya Rock!!
このアイスクリームのような岩の形が観光客に人気を集めているようです🍦
少し足元危ないですが、下まで降りていけます。
It seems to be famous for its ice cream-like shape🍦 It's a little bit dangerous there, but you can get down.
写真で伝わるかわかりませんが、この岩一つ一つがとっても大きいのです。
Each rock is so big.
下から見た景色。壮大！！✨✨
This is the view from below. It was so grand!!!!
私にはアイスクリームではなく台湾のお土産で有名な芋頭酥に見えるのですが…皆さんは何に見えます？
For me, it doesn't seem like ice cream, rather a 芋頭酥, a sweet that is famous in Taiwan. What do you think...??
さて、海側の自然をたくさん堪能した私たち。お次は山側に向かいます。
Then, we headed toward the mountain!
ん…？トム氏……？
どこへ行くつもりだい…？？
What....? Mr.Tom.....??
Where will you go?
私たちは元々階段がちゃんとあるルートで上まで行くつもりだったのですが、トム氏の「試しにちょっと行ってみようか😉」の一声で、この道無き道へ行くことに。
Originally, we planned to go another way, but Tom said "We can take this road a little while😉".
So, we decided to go this way. OMG.
But it was really magnificent scenery...
Tom氏どこまで行くんだい… 私を置いていくな…
Tom, how far are you going...? Don't leave me.....
この辺りでやっと引き返しました。
おそらく15分ほどでしたが、忘れられない過酷な、でも貴重な15分間となりました!
We turned around here.
It only took about 15 minutes, but I will never forget this hard and precious time!
さあ気を取り直して！
元々行くはずだったルートへ向かいます！
Then, we went to the path we originally planned to go to!
「南子吝歩道」
Nanzihlin Trail
こんな階段を登っていきます。
In the beginning, we went up stairs like this.
振り返るとこんな景色が！
なんだかジブリ映画に出てきそうな完璧な景色~~！
でもここは全体のほんの10分の1程度。
その後もずんずん進んでいきます。
Look at this nice view!!!!! How beautiful...🥺!
But this is only a tenth of the way up the mountain.
We were going to go on and on....and on
後ろを振り返ると絶景。
When I looked back, I could see a grand sight,
前を向くと 写真撮ってないで早くして という顔のトム。(嘘です本当はとっても優しいです👍✨)
When I turned around, Tom said to me "Don't take a picture, just walk fast". (Just kidding, he is so kind👍✨)
そんなこんなでやっとこさ頂上に着き、撮影した写真がこちら！
Finally we got to the top, these are the pictures from there!!

空と海が一体化してます。
There was no border between the sea and the sky.
おっと、日が暮れてきたので撮影大会開始！！
Oh, as the sun was setting, we started to take pictures!!

He is a diligent student even on the top of a mountain.

さて、たくさん楽しんだところで、そろそろ帰る時間です〜〜
Then, it was time to go home ~

台北から基隆へ1日旅！/One day trip in Keelung from Taipei!

先日アメリカ人スタッフのTomと基隆へ行ってきました！
A few days ago, I went to Keelung with Tom, an American staff member at Duckstay Hostel!
旅の始まりはDuckstay Hostelの向かいの朝ごはん屋で買った肉まんから。
The beginning of the journey started with a meat bun we bought for breakfast at the shop across the street from Duckstay Hostel.
美味しい。素敵なスタートです。
So delicious☺️ It's a great start today!
肉まんを食べ終えたら、最寄りの萬華車站から電車に乗って50分ほどです。
台北からそれほどかからずに行けちゃうんですね！🤔
After finishing eating the meat bun, we got on the train. It takes about 50 minutes from Wanhua station to Keelung station. It doesn't so long from Taipei to Keelung🤔
基隆に着いてすぐに向かったのはこちら。
We went here as soon as we arrived in Keelung.
地標登山歩道！
基隆には、皆さんご存じのロサンゼルスの象徴”HOLLYWOOD”サインのように、”KEELUNG”サインがあるのです。
Keelung Landmark!
In Keelung, there is a sign similar to the HOLLYWOOD sign as everyone knows!
写真の右上のこれ！
私たちは地標登山歩道を通って、このサインのふもとを目指します。
It's clear in the top right side of this picture!
There's a path to get up to the Keelung Landmark!
なんだか素敵な雰囲気。
The atmosphere is nice here.
半分くらい来たところで"山海博物館”と書かれた小さな建物を発見しました。
We found a small building called “Shanhai Museum” when we got about halfway up.
この辺りの地域の歴史や、現在の地域再生活動などについて書いてあります。
There's information about the history around here, and activities for regional revitalization.
頂上に着くまでに色々と発見できるので、楽しみながら登ることができます。
You will be able to enjoy climbing up to the sign because you can find various interesting things along the way.
そして登り続けること約１０分。
ついに到着！！
KEELUNGサインのある場所から見下ろした景色がこちら。
After about 10 minutes, we finally made it to the Keelung Landmark!!
This is the view from here~~!
おおーーーーーーー！！綺麗！✨✨✨
基隆の中心街を一望できます！！
Wow~~~~~~~ so beautiful!✨✨✨✨
You can overlook the city area of Keelung from there!
Tomがここから見える色々な建物を説明してくれました。
実はTom、昔基隆で英語の先生をしていたのです。だからこの辺りにとっても詳しい。地元の人より詳しい説あります🤔
Tom pointed out some buildings that we could see from there.
Actually, he worked as an English teacher in Keelung before. So he is really familiar with this area. I guess he knows it better than the local people.🤔
さて、普段全く運動しない私は、階段をたくさん登り続けとってもヘトヘト。
一方のTomさん。
Anyway, I was quiet tired because I don't usually exercise at all.
On the other hand, this was Tom at that time.
まだまだ体力が有り余っているようです。
鉄棒を見つけて筋トレを始めておりました。さすがですね。
He still seemed to have energy.....a wonderful man!!!!
さてさて話を戻しまして、KEELUNGサインからの景色を楽しんだ後やってきたのは、「中山陸橋」。
基陵車站の近くにあり、駅を出ると、このいい意味で少し古びた青い橋がすぐに目に入ります。
Then, we came to "Zhongshang bridge".
This old bridge is near Keelung station, so you can see it as soon as you leave the station.
そしてこの橋は人気の写真スポットなんだそう！
私たちも他の観光客に負けじとパシャパシャ。
It seems to be a popular photo spot! So we took many picures here.
素敵です、中山陸橋！👍
Zhongshang bridge is such a nice place!👍
さて、そろそろお昼の時間です。
私たちが向かったのは、「天天鮮排骨飯」というお店。
このお店のある料理がとーーーーーっても美味しかったのでぜひとも皆様にシェアしたい！！
Now, it's time to have lunch!
We went to "天天鮮排骨飯".
It was really nice, so I'd love to share it with you!!
こちらがメニュー。店内で食べる場合は一人一杯スープが無料でついてきます。
人気店のようで、店内は満席。持ち帰りの人たちが常に列を作っていました。
This is the menu. If you eat here, each person can get a free cup of soup. Apparently, it is a popular restaurant for local people. A lot of people were lining up for takeout.
そしてしばらく待って運ばれてきた料理がこちら！
And these are the dishes we ordered!
排骨蝦仁飯(115元)
Shrimp pork chop rice (115TWD)
うううううう美味しそう、、、！
これをタレの味がしみ込んだキャベツがたくさんのったご飯の上にのっけて食べるのです。
サックサクの衣をつけた豚肉に半熟卵がとろ～っと絡んで、口に入れた瞬間笑みがこぼれます…
Ohhhhhhhh they look so delicious🥺!!!
You put some pork chops with crisp coating on rice topped with a lot of cabbage soaked in sauce. All of this plus a melty egg creates a wonderful sensation in your mouth....
そしてこのサクサク衣をまとった豚肉の下には、ぷりっぷりのエビが！
And there are some juicy shrimp under the pork chops!!!
ああ、なぜ私はその写真をとらなかったのでしょうか。
おそらく食べることに夢中でした。。。
Oh my god, why didn't I take a picture of the shrimp?😭 Maybe I was too absorbed in eating...
是非皆さん基隆に行った際はここに行って、プリプリのエビがいることを確かめてきてください！！！
So I recommend you to come here and make sure the shrimp are under it!!!!

しっかり腹ごしらえした私たちは、この後バスに乗って基隆から少し離れた場所へ向かいます。
After having the meal, we took a trip away from Keelung city by bus.

旧正月前の迪化街！！/Dihua street before Chinese New Year!!

今回も前回から引き続き、迪化街について書きたいと思います😊
Today I'll continue to write about the day I went to Dihua street following the previous blog😊
旧正月前の迪化街は本当に熱気がすごい！
なぜなら旧正月のためのお菓子やら紅包(日本でいうお年玉)やらを売るお店が道いっぱいに出店されるから！台湾人はそれを買い求めに迪化街にこの時期やってくるのです。
Before Chinese New Year, there are so many people here!! Because there are many shops selling snacks and food for Chinese New Year here in this area, Taiwanese come here this time of year.
旧正月のためのお菓子はとってもカラフル🥜🍭🍬
The snacks for Chinese New Year are very colourful.
こういうお店の前を通ると、店員が必ず「ちょっと食べてみな～」と試食をくれます。それも一つではなくて何種類も！
だから旧正月前の迪化街ではお金を使う必要がないのです~~！
When we passed by a store like this, the clerks always gave us some samples, more than just one kind!!!!
So you don’t have to spend money here ~!!!
と言いながら購入したこちら。パイナップルジュース。
たくさんお菓子を食べていると喉が渇きます😌
......but we bought pineapple juice😌🍍
We were thirsty because we ate so many snacks.
大きなランタンを発見しました。
Marianによると、このランタンに描かれているのは、それぞれ別の意味を持った神様の絵なんだそう。
左側は恋愛の神様、真ん中は健康の神様、右側は仕事の神様だそうです。それぞれ顔も色も形も全く違います。
We found three big lanterns.
According to Marian, the pictures on these lanterns are gods with different meanings. The left one is the god of love, the center one is the god of health, the right one is the god of work.
こちらは紅包のお店！紅包とは日本でいうお年玉です🧧
This is a shop selling “Hongbao”.
It’s a red envelope with cash, Taiwanese give it to their children, parents, grandparents, employees, and so on.
爸爸的(Father’s)血汗錢...
姑姑的(Aunt’s)血汗錢...
叔叔的(Uncle’s)血汗錢...
血汗錢とは、"汗水流して苦労して得たお金"という意味。
よりありがたみを感じますね。
血汗錢 means the money earned by all one’s labour through blood, sweat, and tears.
I wouldn't be able to use the money in it easily...
迪化街の地図が描かれた大きなパネルを発見。
こう見るととっても広いんですね~~
We found a large panel with a map of Dihua street.
l didn’t know that Dihua street was so long..😳
とこの場所にしばらくいると、1人のスタッフさんに「日本人ですか？」と声を掛けられました。「そうです〜」と答えると
「ちょっと待ってくださいね」と言われ、なんだろう...？と思いながらしばらく待っていると…
After a while here, a staff member asked me, "Are you Japanese?" I answered “Yes”, she said to me “Wait a minute please ~”. Then....
なんと紅包をプレゼントしてくれました~~！✨✨✨
外国人観光客だけに配っているのでしょうか？よくわかりませんが、嬉しい〜〜！！！！
中には1元が！
They gave me these Hongbao ~!!!
Do they distribute it only to foreigners? I don’t know but I was so glad ~~!!!
It had one NTD in it!
素敵です！迪化街！！！🥺✨✨✨
Dihua street is a lovely place!!!!
そんなこんなで旧正月前の迪化街はとっても楽しかったです~😊
It was really fun to come to Dihua street before Chinese New Year ~😊
連れて行ってくれたMarianに感謝です🥰
そうそう、迪化街にあるMarianの娘さんのお店にも連れて行ってもらったのです。
Thank you to Marian for taking me here🥰
By the way, l went to her daughter’s shop too!
他の雑貨屋とひと味違ってとってもお洒落！！
There are so many general stores here, but her shop has a slightly different atmosphere from other shops...!
2階にはMarianの娘さんの彼氏さんのタトゥーのお店が。出来たてホヤホヤのタトゥーをお客さんに見せてもらいました。とっても繊細…！！彼氏さんは腕が良いらしく、大忙しみたいです。うん、納得…😳✨
There is a tattoo shop owned by her boyfriend on the second floor. A customer who had just gotten a tattoo showed it to me! Wow...he seems to be skillful, and so busy. It makes sense that he is so popular here..!
春節が終わったらまたゆっくり迪化街巡りしようと思います😇
After Chinese New Year, I'd like to come back here again ~

先日、ゲストハウスのキッチンスタッフ、Marianに迪化街へ連れて行ってもらいました～💡✨
Few days ago, Marian, a staff in Duckstay Hostel's kitchen took me to Dihuajie~~💡✨
前々からMarianの娘さんとその彼氏さんのお店が迪化街にあると聞いていたので、わくわく！（それについては次の記事で書きます～）

Duckstay Hostelから迪化街まではMRTを利用して２駅。
少ーし頑張れば徒歩でも行けます。
前にアメリカ人スタッフのTomとブラジル人スタッフのJowと行ったときは、徒歩で25分ほどでした。
You can use MRT to get from Duckstay Hostel to Dihua street. It can only take two stations.
If you have physical strength, you can walk there🏃♀️
When I went there before, with Tom, an American staff, and Jow, a Brazilian staff, it took about 25 minutes!
MRT北門駅で下車。そこから少し歩くと...

昔から旦那さんと２人でよく食べに来ていたそう🥰
お昼過ぎに行きましたが、席は満席、持ち帰りもできるので、店の前には沢山人が並んでいました。

この蝦捲飯、本っ当に美味しいのです。
外はふわふわで、中のエビはプリプリで、里芋？のようなシャキシャキ感もたまにあって。
This was soooo delicious...
The texture was fluffy, the shrimp that is inside was plump, and some vegetable was crunchy.
そして写真では見えませんが、実はエビの揚げ物とご飯の間にルーローが潜んでいるのです…！このルーローも柔らかくて美味しい…✨
人気メニューという理由がわかりました💡
It might be hard for you to see from the picture, but there are some Lurou (minced pork) between the rice and the Xiajuan....! The Lurou were also fluffy and so delicious....✨
I understand why it's a popular menu💡
Marianによると、人気店なので早く閉店してしまうこともあるとか！
ぜひこの蝦捲飯、迪化街に行った際は食べ逃さないでください～～！💡💡
According to Marian, this restaurant close early sometimes because of its popularity!!

春節に食べる湯圓とは？/ What is Tangyuan?
こんにちは、Duckstay Hostelの日本人スタッフKioです！
Hi, I'm Kio, a Japnese intern at Duckstay Hostel.
ただいま台湾はすっかりお正月モード。
日本とは違い、台湾は旧暦の正月がお正月（春節）なのです。
今年の元旦は1月25日。そして1月23日から29日が連休となっています。
In Taiwan, there is an atmosphere of New Year now.
They use the old-style calendar, so New Year's Day is Jan 25th this year.
And they have consecutive holidays from Jan 23th to 29th.
ただ台湾人の友達によると、1月1日からもう既に新年快樂～（あけましておめでとう）と言うみたいです。
私たちからすると不思議な感じですよね…正月が１か月くらい続くみたい🤔
But according to Taiwanese friend, they already say Happy New Year from Jan 1st.
It's a little strange, right? It seems that New Year continues for almost 1 month😳
と、まぁそんな話は置いておいて、Duckstay Hostelでは先日「湯圓」とやらを作りました！
Anyway, we cooked "Tangyuan" at Duckstay Hostel few days ago!
湯圓とは、もち米の粉から作る小さな団子のこと。
台湾では旧正月の前に食べるんだよ~と教えてもらいました。
"Tangyuan" is small dumplings made from waxy rice.
According to a staff at our guesthouse, they eat it before New Year.
みんなで湯圓をひたすら作り続けて約30分。
We were making Tangyuan for about 30 minutes....
完成！
200個ほど作りました~~✨
Finally ~~!!
We made almost 200 Tangyuans✨
写真を撮りたいから手洗ってくるね~~
と言って戻ってきたら
I told them I’ll wash my hands because I wanna take pictures~
Then when I came back...
顔の落書きと、その周りに湯圓が謎に配置されていました笑笑
台湾のおばちゃんはなんでこんなに可愛いのでしょう…
I found a scribbling of face and some Tangyuan arranged around the face😂😂😂😂
So cute......
そして出来上がりはこちら！
And this is the finished dish!
野菜と椎茸と豚肉と煮込むんですね~~🤔
味は少し日本のお雑煮に似ていて、とっても美味しかったです✨✨
These were boiled with vegetables, mushrooms, and meat.
I think it’s similar to the taste of Japanese Zoni, very delicious 😇✨✨
