士林夜市/Shirin Night Market

先日士林夜市へ行ってきました。
台湾に来てもうすぐ1か月となりますが、やっと観光っぽく楽しむことができると思いワクワクしました。
まず、MRT淡水信義線のJiantan駅へ向かいました。士林夜市だから士林駅で降るのでなくこちらの駅で降りるので気を付けてくださいね。
駅を降りると、ほんとに人が多いのでびっくりしました。私が向かった時間は夕方5時くらいですが混み始めるくらいですね。
やはりここの醍醐味と言えばグルメなので気になったものをたくさん食べました。その中でおすすめのものを紹介したいと思います。
①エリンギ
士林夜市全体を一周しているときにすごく人が並んでいるお店でした。
目の前でエリンギを焼いていて、何よりもお店の人の迫力がすごいです。エリンギと焼くときに塗っているタレが絶妙です。仕上げの味付けは9種類から好みのものを2つ選べるのでそれもいいですね。私はレモンペッパーと海苔で頂きました。
値段は100元。
②豚まん
こちらの夜市は広いのですがゴミ箱がなかなか見当たらないので何か袋が欲しいなと思ってたまたま見かけたので豚まんを買うことを決めました。なかなかのサイズですが、魅力はその値段でなんと20元。ほんとに安いです。アツアツなので少し食べにくかったですが味も言うことなしでおいしいので試してみる価値ありです。
③牡蠣の卵焼き
こちらは地下のフードコートのお店ですね。お店の前を通りかかったときに店員の方に呼び止められてお店の説明を聞いているときに食べたくなり購入しました。卵はトロトロで牡蠣もたくさん入っていて文句なしですね。上にかかっているソースが甘くてご飯が欲しくなりますね。
値段は60元。
④特大フライドチキン
こちらは事前に調べていてかなり興味があったので注目の品ですね。驚くのはサイズ感。揚げる工程から見ていたのですがおそらく手のひら1.5倍分って感じのサイズの鶏肉を揚げていました。アツアツのチキンにコショウをかけてもらい頂きました。味はジューシーで,
一緒にビールが欲しくなりますね。ジューシーな分油がすごいです。一人で食べるより友達とシェアすることをおすすめします。
値段は70元。
⑤寒天Q棒
読んで字のごとく、寒天ですね。味の種類は8種類以上ありました。記憶にあるのはグレープとストロベリーですが。(笑)私はストロベリーを選びました。ちょうどいいサイズ感で満腹の私には優しかったです。色合いもいいですし、なんと、、、10元です。ぜひお試しください。
まだまだ他にもおいしそうなお店はたくさんありましたが今回は満腹になってしまった為、ここで終了です。次回またリベンジしようと思います。
今回はDuckstayhostelのあるMRT龍山寺駅から向かいました。電車に乗り15分くらいでJiantan駅へ到着しました。皆さんの滞在中、士林夜市へ向かうと思います。皆さんの滞在先をDuckstay Hostelにされてみてはいかがでしょうか。

I went to Shirin Night Market.
It has been for 1 month since I came to Taiwan. I was really excited because I could enjoy sightseeing like a tourist.
I took a train to MRT Jiantan station, Tamsui-Xinyi Line. I recommend you to take off the train this station not Shirin station. There were many people around the station event though I went there around 5p.m.
Speaking of Shirin Night Market, I had no choice to eat foods.
Now I am telling you what I ate.
①Elingi mushroom
Many people made a line in front of this shop when I walked around.
It was really attractive because shopkeeper cooked in front of customers. Elingi mushroom was good with special source. You can choose 2 flavors from 9 choices. In my case, I chose lemon pepper and seaweed.
Price: 100元
②Steamed bun with minced pork filling
It was hard to find trash boxes in Shirin night market. I was looking for something to be like a trash box. It was rapped with a plastic bag, so I decided to buy it. It was nice size. It was just 20元. How cheap it is. It was hard to eat because it was too hot. But it tasted really good. You should eat it.
③Oyster Fried
I ate it at food court in B1. The shopkeeper asked me to have something at this shop. So I decided to have it. Eggs were like syrupy and so many oysters. I felt I need to white rice because of yummy source.
Price: 60元
④Big fried chicken
It made me feel excited because I searched about it in advance. It was really big. It was approximately one and a half times as big as my hand. It was juicy and tasted good with pepper. I felt I needed a glass of beer with it. I think it is too much so I recommend you to share with your friends.

⑤Stick of agar
Literally, it is agar. There were more than 8 flavors, but I remembered just grape and strawberry. I bought strawberry one. It looked cute and good for my stomach.

There were many shops which I wanted to have, but I was full. I will try next time.
This time, I went there from Longshan Temple station which is near from Duckstay Hostel. It took about 15 minutes from Longshan station to Jiantan station.
I guess you will go to Shirin Night Market during your staying. Why don’t you stay at Duckstay Hostel??
There are many famous sightseeing places arounf Duckstay Hostel like Longshan Temple (3minutes on foot), Xiamen ding (15.minutes) and the other night market.
I think it is also good staying in Manka where is like historical area.
